Backcountry Kayaking

Cook, Stegmier, Dominquez & Hahn

In July 2011 Robin Cook, Lori Stegmier, Lynn Dominguez, and Lesile Hahn departed from Hatties Cove in Pukaskwa National Park on Lake Superior bound for Wawa, Ontario. Eleven days and 120 miles later they landed at the Naturally Superior headquarters in WaWa. For those eleven days they had the park and lake virtually to themselves, only seeing other people on three days of the trip. They experienced everything from dead calm waters to three-foot waves and 20 knots of wind, had a close encounter with a bear, paddled in pea soup fog, and navigated along some of the most spectacular scenery on Lake Superior. Join Lori, Robin, and Lynn Sunday night as they share with you their amazing trip!
